How To Enable JavaScript
What is "JavaScript"?
"JavaScript" is a simple programming language that lets a website make use of
some more advanced features of a web browser, such as opening pop-up windows and
navigating a website.
Why do I need to enable JavaScript in my browser?
The
LegalWills.co.za
website uses JavaScript to provide a more friendly and
useful interface to our customers and visitors. Specifically, we use JavaScript
to perform the following:
- opening a pop-up window to provide help information whenever you click on
a link to obtain more information or help on a particular topic; this provides
a better browsing experience because it lets you stay on the same page of our
website while you read this information
- opening windows for viewing/printing or previewing any of your completed
documents/services
- validating input you provide to make sure that it is in the correct format
- traversing our website; for example, when you click on a link to go back
to the previous web page
- providing animation to the navigation buttons which appear on our website
If JavaScript has been disabled in your web browser, then you will find that
clicking on certain links within our website appear to do nothing. Most
importantly, you will not be able to view any of your completed documents and services.
We do not use JavaScript to display any pop-up advertisements. If you see pop-up
advertisements appearing whenever you visit our website (or other websites), it
is because a "adware" or "spyware" stealth advertising program has been installed
on your system. We recommend that you locate and remove such software from
your system. For more information on adware/spyware simply perform a search on "adware"
or "spyware" in your preferred search engine.
How do I enable JavaScript?
First, determine the version of your web browser. If you do not know your browser
version, from your browser's Help menu choose the last item labeled "About [browser
name]...". Macintosh users should go to the Apple menu and select the first item
labeled "About [browser name]...".
Locate a procedure at http://www.activatejavascript.org/.
If you cannot find your browser listed there, then consult your browser's documentation or online help files.
